Sea Birds Found In Australia

Sea Feeders and Shore Nesters

Seabirds include species from the small terns to the larger Wedge-tailed Shearwater and up the the Osprey and Sea Eagle.

They are different to shorebirds in that their food source is the sea, feeding upon fish and squid. However because they come ashore to roost and nest the islands scattered along the vast coastline of Australia are the perfect home for these birds.
